Abstract:
This walking toy (10) includes a battery-powered motor (90) driven apparatus for moving the animal legs (63-66) to produce a walking action. An independent motor (155) and drive is operative to provide tail (70) wagging of the animal toy. A collar (20) is rotatably secured to the neck portion of the animal toy (10) and receives one end of an elongated tether (21). The remaining end of the flexible tether is secured to a hand controller (30) including a user handle (32) and a control thumb switch (30) also operable by the user. A plurality of batteries (34) are supported within the hand controller and together with the thumb switch are coupled to the operative mechanism within the animal toy through wires (136) passing through the tether.
