A walking navigation method based on a directed label. The method comprises the following steps: step 1, a user opening a lightweight electronic navigation map by means of navigation software in a mobile terminal and inputting a destination position; step 2, the user starting a camera on the mobile terminal by means of the navigation software, scanning a directed label at an intersection, and determining the current position and orientation according to position and direction information included in the directed label; step 3, the user obtaining the current position and orientation, searching, in view of the input destination position and in the lightweight electronic navigation map, for a corresponding destination vertex and the current position vertex, and planning a shortest path; and step 4, according to the planned shortest path, selecting a branch of the current intersection, and accurately presenting, in view of the current orientation, navigation guide information on the lightweight electronic navigation map, such that the user quickly completes the navigation. The processing load of a user on a large amount of information during a path finding process is reduced, and this does not rely on a network.
