Abstract:
A first wheel and a second wheel, which can adhere by suction to a contacting surface and can be switched between a suction state and a non-suction state, are attached to a vehicle body. A travel motor causes the first wheel and the second wheel to rotate. A control unit switches each of the first wheel and the second wheel between the suction state and the non-suction state and controls the rotation. The control unit causes the vehicle to travel in either a first travel mode, in which the vehicle travels on a first surface in a direction from the second wheel toward the first wheel, or a second travel mode, in which, with the second wheel in contact with the first surface, the first wheel is set to the non-suction state and the second wheel is set to the suction state, and with the first wheel lifted from the first surface, the second wheel is caused to rotate to so that the vehicle travels until the first wheel comes into contact with a second surface lifted from the first surface.
