Title:
WARM CIRCULATING AIR AMBIENT FOR BEDS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1982/003164
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In view of the prior existence of a removable cover, connected to a single or double bed, that contains the air (PI 8101697, of March 19, 1981), the 'Warm circulating air ambient for beds' includes a supply of air for this ambient, which is warmer than the air in the rest of the room, with a constant regulation of the temperature by the use of a small heating apparatus controlled by thermostat(s). This kind of heating must be used with the 'uncovered head' model.

Description:
Descriptive Report of the Patent for "WARM CIR¬ CULATING AIR AMBIENT FOR BEDS".

In view of the prior existence of the request to file the patent for the invention of the "Thermo regulated cir- 05. culating air ambient for beds" (PI 8101697, of March 19, 1981),that is characterized by the connection to a single or a double bed of a removable cover which contains air which is warmer or cooler than the temperature, of the rest of the room, with constant renewal of the wanted temperature, supplied by a mini air-conditioning appa- 10. ratus, regulated by one or more thermostats, and a variation on that invention, that is characterized by leaving the head of the user uncovered, the present request for the patent refers to a simplification of that invention, that instead of working with a mini air-conditioning apparatus, operates using only a smal 1 heating 15. apparatus, with ventilation, with regulated temperature, controlled by a thermostat. In order to keep the temperature fixed, the ' heat- ing apparatus will automatically have its electrical resistance in- termitterily connected and disconnected, and the rotation speed of its fan will be al ered as well. 20. According to experiments which have been car¬ ried out, one can achieve an elevation of several degrees CELSIUS

in the surrounding temperature with a minimum of electric heating since the atmosphere is so reduced, closed by a poor heat-conduct¬ ing material - plastic or a similar material - and since one can also count on the heat irradiated by the body of the user himself.

05. The "warm circulating air ambient for beds" is meant for cold climates and the "uncovered head" model must be used.

The warm ventilation, that comes from the heat¬ ing apparatus, penetrates the "warm circulating air ambient for

10. beds" by means of hoses attached to the foot board of the bed.

The enclosed drawings, picture 1 and picture 2, show covers - among many other possible models - in the shape of pyramids.

Picture 1 shows a single bed, with a cover

15. (that may be made of plastic or another material), the hoses that conduct the warm air into the "warm circulating air ambient for beds", and the generator apparatus. Picture 2 shows a double bed, with an adaptation in the cover for the users to enter on both sides of the bed, and also with the "uncovered head" model.
