Abstract:
According to the present invention, a steel stock material having a specific chemical component composition is heated to a rolling temperature of 1150°C to 1350°C and is subsequently rolled, thereby producing a rolled material; and after subjecting the rolled material to warm forging at a temperature that is not less than X°C, which is calculated by formula 1, but not more than 1100°C, the resulting material is cooled at least to 700°C at a cooling rate of 3.0°C/second or less. The present invention enables the achievement of a forged component which has a metal structure that contains 5.0% by area or less of structures other than ferrite and pearlite, wherein: the average particle diameter of the pearlite particles is not less than Y µm, which is calculated by formula 2; the area ratio of the non-recrystallized particles is 3.0% or less; and the number of AlN and NbCN having a circle-equivalent diameter of 100 nm or more is 5/100 µm2 or less.
