Abstract:
A washing machine, which can maintain deceleration of a motor and minimize the noise of the motor, comprises: a drum; the motor for rotating the drum; an inverter circuit for driving the motor; and a control unit for controlling the inverter circuit on the basis of a d-axis current command value and a q-axis current command value, controlling the inverter circuit to perform a soft braking for a pre-configured time when the motor decelerates, and controlling the inverter circuit to perform a short braking on the basis of the elapse of the pre-configured time.
