Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the field of household appliances. Specifically provided are a washing machine having a ventilation function and a control method therefor. The present invention aims to solve the problems of the interior of an outer drum easily becoming mildewed and producing a peculiar smell, and parts made of rubber in the outer drum producing a heavily pungent smell when existing drum-type washing machines are shut down for a long period of time and a machine door is closed for a long period of time, thereby affecting the usage experience of a user. For this purpose, the washing machine of the present invention comprises a machine body and an outer drum accommodated in the machine body. The washing machine further comprises a ventilation channel formed on the machine body. A first end of the ventilation channel leads to an external environment, and a second end thereof leads to the interior of the outer drum, thus connecting the interior of the outer drum to the external environment. When the washing machine of the present invention is shut down, the outer drum of the washing machine can be connected to the external environment by means of the ventilation channel, such that oxygen in the external environment enters the outer drum, and the peculiar smell in the outer drum diffuses in the external environment in a timely manner, thus improving the usage experience of a user.
