Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for controlling a washing machine comprising a drum rotating around a horizontal axis of rotation inside a tub, and multiple nozzles for spraying water discharged from the tub and circulated by a pump into the drum, the method comprising the steps of: (a) supplying a first configured amount of water into the tub together with detergent, performing a first drum operation by conducting at least one session of rotating the drum at a first drum rotational speed while water is supplied, and conducting at least one session of operating the pump at a first pump rotational speed during the first drum operation; (b) operating a heater so as to heat water inside the tub in a state in which the first configured amount of water is supplied into the tub, performing a second drum operation by conducting at least one session of rotating the drum at the first drum rotational speed while the heater is operated, and conducting at least one session of operating the pump at the first pump rotational speed during the second drum operation; (c) dewatering laundry by rotating the drum at a preconfigured dewatering speed; and (d) operating the drum at a second drum rotational speed larger than the first drum rotational speed while supplying water into the tub after the step of dewatering laundry, and accelerating the pump from a second pump rotational speed to a third pump rotational speed.
