A washing machine, which is capable of saving energy while maintaining the washing performance according to water temperature, comprises: a main body; a tub that is provided inside the main body; a first water supply device that supplies washing water not including detergent to the tub; a second water supply device supplying washing water including detergent to the tub; a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of the washing water stored in the tub; a circulation bubble device for circulating the washing water stored in the tub or generating bubbles in the washing water stored in the tub; a circulation pump that supplies the washing water stored in the tub to the circulation bubble device; and a control unit for controlling the first water supply device to supply the washing water not including detergent to the tub, and for controlling the rotation speed of the circulation pump on the basis of the temperature of the washing water not including detergent.
