A washing machine and an order method therefor. The steps of the method comprise: S1, searching for a running state of a washing machine within a predetermined range, acquiring relevant information about idle washing machines, and sending the relevant information about the idle washing machines to a terminal; S2, selecting, by means of the terminal, a target washing machine from the idle washing machines, and then sending an order reservation command to the target washing machine; S3, after the target washing machine receives the order reservation command, generating payment information according to information about clothes to be washed; and S4, after payment is completed, the washing machine starting running to wash the clothes. Therefore, a user can use a mobile phone thereof to search for a nearby idle washing machine, thereby preventing the case where the user finds that the washing machine is in use after arriving at the washing machine, and can use a network payment platform, such as Alipay, Wechat or E-bank, to scan or input a corresponding payment code by means of a mobile terminal so as to pay for a washing service, which is convenient for the user to use.
