Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a washing machine and a method for controlling a washing machine. When a current value outputted from an IPM is greater than or equal to a preset current value, a washing machine controls an OFF operation of a relay included in the washing machine to cut off power supplied to the IPM, such that a motor can be prevented from being carbonized.
