Abstract:
The present invention relates to a washing machine including a filter for collecting foreign matter. A washing machine according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a tub for containing wash water; a cylindrical drum disposed in the tub so as to receive laundry; and a filter disposed in the drum so as to collect foreign matter while the wash water passes therethrough, wherein the filter comprises a filter front cover having a plurality of front cover holes through which the wash water is discharged, a filter rear cover coupled to the filter front cover so as to form a flow space in which the wash water flows, and a plurality of check valves disposed at the filter front cover so as to define the flow space, whereby the flow of the wash water within the filter can be minimized.
