Abstract:
The present invention is a water-absorbent resin composition containing a crosslinked polymer (A) having, as essential constituent units, at least one monomer (A1) selected from the group consisting of water-soluble unsaturated monocarboxylic acids (a1) and salts thereof, as well as an internal crosslinking agent (b) having a diacylhydrazine skeleton, wherein the content value for the internal crosslinking agent (b) units in the crosslinked polymer (A) is 0.01-0.45 mol% inclusive, and the decomposition index of the water-absorbent resin composition is 90 or greater. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a water-absorbent resin composition that can efficiently decompose the crosslinked polymer using an oxidant while satisfying the necessary water absorption performance during use and that can contribute to resource conservation and environmental load reduction.
