Abstract:
Water-absorbing resin particles 10a, wherein the gel repulsion force reduction rate as measured according to the following procedures (1)-(5) is 5% or greater. (1) A gel of these water-absorbing resin particles swollen to 30 times is prepared within a recess of a container having said recess, which is open to a vertical direction upper side. (2) A flat surface of a jig having said flat surface is made to contact a surface of the gel from the vertical direction upper side. (3) An operation in which the jig is pressed against the gel by 1mm in the vertical direction is performed, and the maximum value L1 of the load undertaken by the jig during this operation is obtained. (4) An operation in which the jig is withdrawn from the gel by 0.5mm and then the jig is pressed against the gel by 0.5mm in the vertical direction is repeated 29 times, and the maximum value L30 of the load undertaken by the jig during the final operation of these repeated operations is obtained. (5) The ratio of the difference between the load maximum value L1 and the load maximum value L30 to the load maximum value L1 is obtained as the gel repulsion force reduction rate.
