Abstract:
Disclosed are water absorbing resin particles that demonstrate a gel leakage test force of 5-14 N as measured by the following method: water absorbing resin particles are allowed to absorb physiological saline that is 29 times the amount of the water absorbing resin particles, while being stirred to prepare a swollen gel; 20 g of the swollen gel is evenly placed into a cylinder having an inner diameter of 5 cm and having a 5 mm-diameter hole in the bottom thereof; the swollen gel in the cylinder is compressed with a jig having a diameter of 4.9 cm, at a rate of 10 mm/min, and the test force applied when a portion of the swollen gel leaks from the hole in the bottom of the cylinder is recorded as the gel leakage test force.
