Abstract:
A water electrolysis system (100) comprises: a plurality of water electrolysis stacks (101), which are connected in series to a direct current power supply; a plurality of gas storage tanks (for example, a hydrogen gas tank (102), a low-pressure hydrogen gas tank (102a)), which store gas produced by the water electrolysis stacks; a first gas pressure regulation mechanism (for example, a hydrogen gas tank pressure regulation valve (113)), which regulates the pressure of the gas produced by the entire plurality of water electrolysis stacks; a plurality of second gas pressure regulation mechanisms (for example, a water electrolysis stack hydrogen gas pressure regulation valve (115), a water electrolysis stack low-pressure hydrogen gas pressure regulation valve (115a)), which regulate the pressure of the gas produced by the individual water electrolysis stacks; and a control device (150), which controls the first gas pressure regulation mechanism and the second gas pressure regulation mechanisms.
