Abstract:
A water filter having an indicator light for warning filter element blockage and a method for warning filter element blockage. The water filter comprises a water filter body (11), a motor (50), an indicator light circuit (20), and an indicator light power supply device; a filter element (12) and a pre-filtration water cavity (13) are accommodated in the water filter body (11); the motor (50) is used as a water pumping power device of the water filter; the filter element (12) is used for water filtration; a floating device (15) is provided in the pre-filtration water cavity (13); the floating device (15) floats along with the water level in the pre-filtration water cavity (13); the floating device (15) comprises a floating switch controller (156); the indicator light circuit (20) comprises an indicator light (21) and an indicator light switch (22); the floating switch controller (156) controls the opening and closing of the indicator light switch (22); the indicator light power supply device supplies power to the indicator light circuit (20); the indicator light switch (22) controls the turn-on or turn-off of the indicator light (21); the indicator light power supply device comprises an inductive power obtaining component, and the inductive power obtaining component obtains electric energy from the motor (50) by using the principle of electromagnetic induction.
