Abstract:
Provided are: a water-grown wasabi cultivation system that cares for plants during cultivation independently without touching roots or soil, makes it possible to increase the number of roots planted per unit area, and makes it possible to reduce equipment costs while using water efficiently; and a cultivation method therefor. Provided is a water-grown wasabi cultivation system which is for cultivating water-grown wasabi in two or more stages and which has: a soil holding part that holds soil; a cultivation water discharging part that discharges cultivation water; a plurality of containers, one or more of which is arranged in each stage; and a water conduit pipe that conveys, to a next-stage container, cultivation water discharged from the cultivation water discharging part of an upper-stage container, wherein the end of the water conduit pipe on the next-stage container side is arranged near the soil surface of the next-stage container.
