Abstract:
The present invention provides a silicone-free water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic composition which does not contain a silicone compound and an ultraviolet absorbent, and which exhibits excellent dispersibility of a powder such as an ultraviolet scattering agent and has a stable and clear appearance, while achieving sufficiently high ultraviolet light shielding effect with excellent water resistance. A water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic composition according to the present invention is characterized by containing (A) a surfactant, (B) a dispersant, (C) an oil component, (D) an organic modified clay mineral and (E) an ultraviolet scattering agent, and is also characterized in that: the amount of the ultraviolet scattering agent (E) is 10% by mass or more; and a silicone compound and an ultraviolet absorbent are not contained therein.
