Abstract:
A water- and oil-repellent stainproofer composition containing as the essential ingredient a polymer emulsion obtained by polymerizing an O/W emulsion prepared by dissolving a polyfluoroalkyl compound in at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of (meth)acrylates, vinyl esters, styrenic compounds, vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride and emulsifying the obtained solution in water. The composition is excellent in water- and oil-repellency and stainproofness and also in emulsion sedimentation stability.
