Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a water-permeable membrane constituted of Parylene, a process for producing the water-permeable membrane, and a method for separating water using the water-permeable membrane or a composite membrane thereof. [Solution] A water-permeable Parylene membrane characterized by having polar groups; a specific process for producing the water-permeable Parylene membrane or a composite membrane thereof; and a method for separating water, characterized in that water which contains a substance dissolved and/or dispersed therein is caused to permeate through the water-permeable Parylene membrane or composite membrane thereof, thereby separating the water.
