Abstract:
The present invention prevents the propagation of bacteria at the pour valve of a water server. A water server is provided with: a body section (54) in which a flow path (48) that leads from the entry port (46) of pour valves (8, 9) to an exit port (47) is formed using an ultraviolet ray-transmitting material; and an ultraviolet ray-emitting light source (55) that irradiates the body section (54) with ultraviolet rays. As a result, the inner wall surface of the flow path (48) and the surface of a valve body (42) are sterilized using ultraviolet rays. The directing of ultraviolet rays to the inner wall surface and the like of the flow path (48) is facilitated by covering as much as possible of an outer wall surface section (59) of the body section (54) along the flow path (48) with an ultraviolet ray-reflective layer (60). Sterilizing properties are enhanced and water repellency is achieved by forming the inner wall surface of an exit port-side tube path (57) from an ultraviolet ray-transmitting material (58) that contains a photocatalyst.
