Abstract:
A water softening system 10 comprises a water feed channel 20 in which water to be treated flows, and a crystallization unit 30 that causes metal ions contained in the water to be treated to precipitate. Moreover, the water softening system 10 comprises a separation unit 40 to separate the water to be treated that has passed through the crystallization unit 30 into crystals precipitated out by the crystallization unit 30 and soft water. In addition, at least a portion of the water feed channel 20 is configured so as to be a virtually sealed and pressurizing water feed channel, and the crystallization unit 30 and the separation unit 40 are connected to the site of the water feed channel 20 that is the virtually sealed and pressurizing water feed channel.
