This water supply device comprises: a water supply pipe (26); a main water supply valve (42) provided in the water supply pipe (26) and having a large rated capacity; a bypass pipe (43); a water supply bypass valve (44) provided in the bypass pipe (43) and having a small rated capacity; a water level gauge (49) capable of detecting the water level of coolant contained in a steam generator (7); and a water supply control unit (45) capable of controlling the flow rate of water to be supplied to the steam generator (7) by controlling the main water supply valve (42) and the water supply bypass valve (44) on the basis of the water level detected by the water level gauge (49). When the water level deviation between a target water level and a detected water level is within a minor change region (D), the water supply control unit (45) sets the minor change region (D) as a dead zone of the main water supply valve (42) and does not control the main water supply valve (42), while controlling the water supply bypass valve (44) to control the flow rate of water to be supplied. When the water level deviation changes beyond the minor change region (D), the water supply control unit (45) controls the main water supply valve (42) and the water supply bypass valve (44) to control the flow rate of water to be supplied.
