A water tank component and a constant humidity machine using the water tank component. The water tank component comprises a water tank (10), a detecting device (30), and a dirt removing device (40). The water tank (10) is used for storing water for humidifying, the detecting device (30) is provided on the water tank (10) and used for detecting whether light transmittance of the water tank (10) is lower than a preset value, the dirt removing device (40) is provided on the water tank (10) and connected to the detecting device (30), and the dirt removing device (40) is used for receiving a detection signal of the detecting device (30) and removing dirt in the water tank (10). In use, if the detecting device (30) detects that the light transmittance of the water tank (10) is lower than a preset value, it is determined that the dirt in the water tank is out of limits. The dirt removing device (40) receives the detection signal from the detecting device (30) and is started to remove the dirt, so that self-cleaning of the water tank component is achieved.
