Abstract:
This water treatment method for producing water from a target liquid by using reverse osmosis comprises: a reverse osmosis step for separating the target liquid into permeated water and a concentrated liquid by reverse osmosis using a reverse osmosis module having a semi-permeable membrane; a first step for adding a germicidal agent having oxidizing power to the target liquid supplied to the reverse osmosis module; and a second step for adding a pH adjusting agent to the target liquid supplied to the reverse osmosis module. The adding of the germicidal agent in the first step and/or the adding of the pH adjusting agent in the second step is controlled on the basis of at least one parameter selected from the group consisting of the concentration of the germicidal agent in at least one of the target liquid, the permeated water, and the concentrated liquid, the temperature of the target liquid, the hydrostatic pressure of at least one of the target liquid and the concentrated liquid, the pH of the target liquid, and the concentration of heavy metal in the target liquid. The heavy metal is at least one metal selected from the group consisting of iron, copper, cobalt, and manganese.
