Abstract:
An embodiment of this water treatment system comprises: a water treatment device; a water supply pump that supplies to-be-treated water to the water treatment device; an ozone generation device that generates ozone-containing gas containing ozone gas and oxygen; and a DC power source that supplies DC power. The water treatment device comprises an ejector part including: a lead-in-side radially enlarged part at which the to-be-treated water is led in; a nozzle part which is provided consecutively to the lead-in-side radially enlarged part, and has a lead-in opening provided to a side wall, the ozone-containing gas being led in at said opening; and a lead-out-side radially enlarged part which is provided consecutively to the nozzle part, and at which the to-be-treated water is led out, the ozone-containing gas having been mixed with said water. The water treatment device also comprises an electrolysis part, which is provided downstream of the ejector part. Disposed in said electrolysis part is an electrolysis electrode supplied with DC power for electrolysing the led-out to-be-treated water, which has been mixed with the ozone-containing gas. Thus, it is possible to generate OH radicals having high oxidising power and oxidatively decompose a hardly decomposable substance in the water, without the need for hydrogen peroxide as a reagent.
