Abstract:
A dielectric waveguide has a structure comprising: a dielectric having two surfaces that are crossed by an electric field; metalclad layers covering the two surfaces of the dielectric that are crossed by the electric field; and a protection layer covering the periphery of the dielectric including the two surfaces covered by the metalclad layers. In a wireless transfer system, which comprises a transmission unit for transmitting a high frequency signal and a reception unit for receiving the high frequency signal, the dielectric waveguide is used as a waveguide for transferring the high frequency signal between the transmission unit and the reception unit.
