Abstract:
A wavelength selective switch, comprising an alignment input/output device (101), a polarization beam splitting device (102), a beam expanding device (103), a light splitting device (104), a focusing device (105, 106), an attenuation liquid crystal unit array (107), a switching liquid crystal unit array (108) and a reflection device (109), wherein the attenuation liquid crystal unit array (107) is used for selecting a region with incident light of the switching liquid crystal unit array (108); the switching liquid crystal unit array (108) is an ECB liquid crystal unit array; the ECB liquid crystal unit array is divided into a plurality of pixel units; phases of all the pixel units are adjusted by setting different voltages so that a phase pattern composed of the pixel units exhibits a lens property; and light penetrating through the switching liquid crystal unit array (108) is deflected by changing a central position of an equivalent lens formed by the phase pattern, so that an outgoing port is selected. A wavelength selective switch device does not need to be provided with a plurality of layers of liquid crystal unit arrays for realizing port selection so as to avoid the deterioration of a bandwidth index.
