Abstract:
A wavelength switching apparatus and system, comprising M input components, a first optical component, a first switch array, a second switch array, a second optical component, and K output components. By providing the first switch array and the second switch array, the wavelength switching apparatus is able to implement an M*K dimensional wavelength switching function. On this basis, the M input components comprise at least one local input component having N input ports, and a light beam input by the local input component can be converged, under the action of the first optical component, over a row of switch units corresponding to the local input component on the first switch array, and on this basis, it is equivalent that an input terminal of an M*K dimensional WSS is further connected to an N*1 dimensional WSS, so that a wavelength uploading function is integrated to the wavelength switching apparatus on the basis of the M*K dimensional WSS, the performance and the integration level of the wavelength switching apparatus are effectively improved, and the volume is reduced.
