Abstract:
In the present invention, a thumb opposition movement, adduction movement, flexion movement, or extension movement, as performed by a wearer, is determined on the basis of the results of detection by a signal detection unit. In order to generate auxiliary force for the intrinsic/extrinsic muscles of the thumb which are necessary for the determined movement, a wire driving member is controlled so as to pull or relax wire members associated with the movement.
