Abstract:
A first workpiece (32) has a columnar portion (34) and a head portion (36). This welding device (10) comprises a first welding electrode (26, 28) to which a holding part (169) for holding the columnar portion of the first workpiece is provided. The end face of the first welding electrode that faces a second welding electrode (42) is covered by an insulation coating (168) comprising an insulator. A through-hole (176) is formed in the insulation coating, the through-hole enabling a portion (38) of the head portion of the first workpiece having the columnar portion thereof held in the holding part to protrude therethrough on the second welding electrode side. The head portion and a second workpiece (40) are sandwiched between the first welding electrode and the second welding electrode and are welded together.
