Abstract:
A welding method for welding a pair of members, the welding method having a groove formation step, wherein a groove is formed in the pair of members, and a welding step, wherein the pair of members are welded along the groove. In the groove formation step the groove is formed as a narrow groove having a roughly U-shaped cross section, with the opposing surfaces of the groove roughly parallel to each other.
