Abstract:
A wet suit which has synthetic sponge rubber protective cloths on knee and elbow parts. Conventionally double flat protection cloth is further provided on the body cloth of the wet suit, and is sewed with thread on the front and rear sides. Accordingly, the thread swells on the surface, the cloth is not flexible, and water permeates through the thread holes. This wet suit is manufactured by synthetic sponge rubber, and by the steps of so disposing a protective cloth (9) formed with a wavy part (4) on the knee and the elbow parts of the wet suit such that the wavy shape of the cloth is positioned laterally with respect to the bending direction of the suit, confronting and bonding the end faces (10), (11), .. of the cloth (9) and the end faces (16), (17), ... of the body cloths (14), (15), ... of the synthetic resin sponge rubber wet suit, and sewing the front surface side of the cloth and the front side of the body cloth with thread (18). Thus, the protective cloth does nos swell on the front surface, gives excellent protection and flexibility against external impact, and does not pass water via the thread holes. Accordingly, it is adapted for a wet suit for surfing or diving.
