Abstract:

A wet type clutch friction plate having a friction member (21) connected to one or both side surfaces of a core plate (20) and formed with a number of oil grooves (22) establishing communication between the inner and outer peripheral edges of the friction member (21), wherein the plurality of oil grooves (22) having a discharge angle (β) for discharging oil from the inner to outer peripheral sides of a friction plate (15) during rotation of the latter and a plurality of oil grooves (22) having an inflow angle (&agr ) for drawing oil from the outer to inner peripheral sides of the friction plate (15) alternate with each other at substantially equispaced intervals. Thus, it is possible to stabilize the friction characteristics during transition of clutch connection and to reduce a dragging phenomenon due to oil viscosity resistance during clutch-off.
