Abstract:
Provided is a wheel bearing device having improved durability by suppressing the occurrence of dents and suppressing the occurrence of delayed fractures caused by the dents, even if hoop stress is generated in an inner ring along with swaging. A chamfered section 18 is formed in an inner diameter end section of a large end surface 17 side of an inner ring 5, and said chamfered section 18 is composed of an arc surface 19, and an inclined surface 20 that gradually inclines to the inner side toward a direction radially outward from a tangent of said arc surface 19. The incline angle α1 of the inclined surface 20 of the chamfered section 18 is set to be 20 degrees or less, and an intersecting section of the large end surface 17 of the inner ring 5 and the inclined surface 20 of the chamfered section 18 is smoothly rounded.
