Abstract:
Provided is a wheel drive device provided with a deceleration mechanism for decelerating rotation transmitted from a drive source, a cylindrical output member 24 to which the rotation decelerated by the deceleration mechanism is transmitted, a base band 26 fitted over the output member 24, and a tire 28 attached to the base band 26, wherein tapered surfaces 50, 52 are disposed respectively on an outer peripheral surface of the output member 24 and on an inner peripheral surface of the base band 26, and the base band 26 is fitted over the output member 24 by means of friction fit in a state in which the tapered surfaces 50, 52 are placed in contact with each other between the base band and the output member 24.
