Abstract:
An access step (24) is provided between a front fender mounting section (22) and a rear fender mounting section (23) which are provided to a chassis (17), and a tool box (31) is disposed within a tool box containing space (25) surrounded by the fender mounting sections (22, 23) and the access step (24). An opening (32G) is provided in the outer surface (32E) of the tool box (31), and the opening (32G) is opened and closed by a lid body (34). An aqueous urea solution tank (35) is disposed within the tool box (31), and the supply opening (35G) for the aqueous urea solution tank (35) is provided within the tool box (31). The fender mounting sections (22, 23) and the access step (24) prevent earth and sand which are raised during the travel of a hydraulic excavator (1) from colliding with the tool box (31) to thereby protect the aqueous urea solution tank (35) within the tool box (31).
