Abstract:

Provided is a white rigid decorative member which has significantly improved scratch resistance and wear resistance and which has a high-grade color tone. Also provided is a product which can have a color tone, corrosion resistance, and etching performance that have been controlled at will. This white rigid decorative member is configured using films of alloys of a metal which shows high adhesion to metals and has high brightness (metal having poor corrosion resistance; Mo or W), a metal which gives a high-hardness film and has high corrosion resistance (metal having poor adhesion; Nb or Ta), and a metal which enhances corrosion resistance (Cr, Ti, Hf, or Zr). The decorative member is configured of a base and, formed thereon, an alloy adhesion layer which shows high adhesion, a gradient-alloy adhesion layer deposited while increasing the content of a reactant gas in a gradient manner, a wear-resistant layer having high hardness, and a topping-alloy gradient layer deposited while reducing the content of a reactant gas in a gradient manner.
