Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a wide conversion lens with which images having differing angles of view are obtained with good image quality when the wide conversion lens is mounted on an image capture device; and an image capture device comprising such a wide conversion lens. A wide conversion lens according to a first embodiment of the present invention is mounted on the object side of the image capture device, and satisfies conditions (1) and (2). 1.1 < Ms/Cs (1) 0.3 < |Ff/DA| < 2.0 (2) Cs is the length in the sagittal direction of an on-axis luminous flux incident on the surface of the wide conversion lens closest to the object; Ms is the length in the sagittal direction of the luminous flux of the maximum angle of view incident on the surface of the wide conversion lens closest to the object; DA is the maximum air gap of the wide conversion lens; and Ff is the focal distance of the lens group on the objective side of the position at which the maximum air gap is present.
