Abstract:
A wide-power hydrogen production system and method by electrolysis of water. The system comprises a rectifier transformer (1) and electrolytic cells (2), the rectifier transformer (1) converting alternating current into direct current and then supplying the direct current to the electrolytic cells (2); the system further comprises a gas-liquid separator (3), a gas cooler (4), and a gas droplet capturer (5); the rectifier transformer (1) is connected to a fluctuating power supply; the gas-liquid separator (3) comprises a hydrogen separator and an oxygen separator; the gas cooler (4) comprises a hydrogen cooler and an oxygen cooler; the gas droplet capturer (5) comprises a hydrogen droplet capturer and an oxygen droplet capturer; and a cathode electrolyte outlet of each electrolytic cell (2) is communicated with the hydrogen separator of the gas-liquid separator (3), and an anode electrolyte outlet of the electrolytic cell (2) is communicated with the oxygen separator of the gas-liquid separator (3). The system and method can effectively solve the problems that the current hydrogen production systems by electrolysis of water are limited in power adjustable range and the response capability of a system such as pressure adjustment during wide power fluctuation is insufficient.
