Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a wideband sensor allowing sound waves, pulse waves, and the like to be efficiently detected, despite a simple configuration. [Solution] The sensor comprises: an insulating substrate (1); a piezoelectric element (2) mounted on the surface of the insulating substrate (1); a cylindrical member (3) attached surrounding the piezoelectric element (2) on the surface of the insulating substrate (1), and having an aperture (4A (4B)) on at least the portion opposite the piezoelectric element (2); and an outputting means (5) for retrieving the output of the piezoelectric element (2). The wideband sensor is characterized in being used in contact with a body surface (10), the aperture of a surrounding member being brought in contact with the body surface (10) to form a sealed cavity in the surrounding member.
