A widget operation method and a related device. The method is applied to an electronic device, the electronic device comprising a Windows operating system, a first application program, an Android simulator and an Android operating system, wherein the first application program and the Android simulator are run in the Windows operating system, and the Android operating system is run in the Android simulator. The method comprises: an Android simulator acquiring a first window handle, which is created for a widget by a first application program; the Android simulator setting a parent window handle of the widget to be the first window handle; an Android operating system rendering the widget to obtain a view of the widget; and the first application program displaying the view in an application interface of the first application program. By means of the method, the interaction efficiency with a widget in a Windows system can be improved.
