Abstract:
A wind driven generator comprising a nacelle on which a wind wheel rotor is mounted, a yaw drive device for generating a driving force for yaw rotating the nacelle, a braking mechanism for generating a braking force for braking the rotation of the nacelle, a control device for controlling the yaw drive mechanism and the braking mechanism, and a wind speed measuring device for measuring wind speed. The control device is configured in such a manner that, upon detecting the occurrence of a high wind speed condition on the basis of the wind speed while causing the yaw drive device to rotate the nacelle, the control device applies a braking force to the nacelle by means of the braking mechanism in response to the detection of the occurrence of the high wind speed condition.
