Abstract:
A wind power generating system is provided, which arrays plural wind power generating units on a support tower. Each wind power generating unit is composed of a vertical axis impeller and one or more generators. The rotating shaft of the impeller is connected to a rotor shaft of single generator with a connector or to several rotor shafts of plural generators with a transmission mechanism. Present invention provides a vertical axis helical impeller and a vertical axis linear impeller, which both are composed of drag type blades and lift type blades. And present invention also provides a helical impeller solely composed of drag type blades. It further provides an exploded-assembled design of above impellers. Therefore it can be designed optimally according to the wind field so as to achieve a megawatt power output. Furthermore, present invention can adjust the number of the generators connected to one impeller; so that on one hand it can reduce the starting loads of impellers, and on the other hand it can real-time assign the proper number of low power generators according to the wind velocity variation. The manufacture, transportation, installation and maintenance of the generating units are relatively easy, and the generating units can withstand large wind disaster and have high safety.
