Abstract:
Provided is a winding-type inductor with which it is possible to acquire a higher Q at high frequencies. The dimensions measured in a mutually orthogonal long-diameter direction (31) and short-diameter direction (32) in a cross-section of a winding (23) are defined, respectively, as the long-diameter direction dimension and the short-diameter direction dimension, and the flatness of the cross section is 1.3-3.0 when expressed as (long-diameter direction dimension)/(short-diameter direction dimension). The winding (23) is wound in a single-layer spiral shape on a winding core (24) in a state in which the long-diameter direction (31) extends along the axis-line direction of the winding core (24). Preferably, the winding (23) is wound in a state in which spaces (S) are formed between the conductor portions (29) on the winding core (24), the distance between the conductor portions (29) of the winding (23) on the winding core (24) being 20-100 µm.
