Abstract:
Provided is a windshield for an electronic balance that has doors that can open and close automatically and makes it possible to inexpensively form weighing chambers of different heights. Provided is a windshield for an electronic balance that comprises front glass, doors that compose left and right lateral walls and are automatically opened and closed by being slid in the front-back direction, a ceiling door, and a housing that is disposed as to face the front glass and forms a weighing chamber together with the front glass, doors, and ceiling door, wherein: the housing has roughly the same height as the weighing chamber and has, disposed thereon, a suspension mechanism that extends from the left and right side edge parts of the ceiling of the housing to the left and right side edge parts of the weighing chamber and slidably suspends the doors and a driving means for causing the doors to move forward and backward; a drive source for the drive means is accommodated inside the housing; a bottom raising member is disposed at the bottom of the housing; and raising the bottom of the housing to a prescribed height enables adaptation to a different windshield having a different height matching the height of the weighing chamber when the bottom is raised.
