Abstract:

Upon compression with dies (31a, 31b), a conducting wire (25), a cover part (27), and a crimp part (5) become compressed, and thus, the cross-sections thereof decrease. Under such circumstances, A1 is the cross-section of the conducting wire (25) in the post-compression state. That is to say, A1 is the total sum of the cross-sections of all wire strands after the compression. In addition, B1 is the cross-section of the cover part (27) after the compression. In the present invention, the compression ratio that is set for the conducting wire (25) is 50 to 80%. In addition, the compression ratio that is set for the cover part (27) is 40 to 90%. The amount of compression by the dies (31a, 31b) is set so as to yield these ranges. In the present invention, the compression ratio is calculated by: (cross-section after compression)/(cross-section prior to compression). That is to say, 80% compression ratio means that the cross-section has decreased by 20% due to the compression. That is to say: 80% ≥ A1/A0 ≥ 50%, and 90% ≥ B1/B0 ≥ 40%.
