Abstract:
The objective of the invention is to allow, through a robotic device, a terminal-section-holding unit to hold readily a terminal section from a wire assembly that is held by a holding bar. This wire harness production assistance device comprises: a holding bar provided with a plurality of terminal-section-sandwiching parts; a wire-harness-assembling auxiliary device having a terminal-section-holding unit capable of holding a terminal section whereof the connector is held in a predetermined setting orientation relative to a predetermined setting direction; a terminal-section-moving device equipped with a robotic device having a hand and a hand-moving mechanism unit including a front-end-side arm and causing the hand to move; and a connector orientation acquisition unit for acquiring the orientation of the connector. In accordance with the orientation of the connector acquired by the connector orientation acquisition unit, the terminal-section-moving device executes an operation whereby the orientation of the connector relative to the extending direction of the front-end-side arm approaches the predetermined setting orientation of the connector relative to the predetermined setting direction.
