Description:
W1RECLAMP

The invention relates to a method and equipment for affixing a wire to a fencepost mainly for electric fences and its application to making the mounting and dismounting of the fence easier and the equipment comprises three hollow cylinders needed to affix each wire to the fencepost, the innermost cylinder insulates the fencepost from the electric wire, the electπc wire is placed in a slot in the middle cylinder and the outermost cylinder is slid over the wire and restrains it in the slot.

Various methods have been used to erect electπc fences It is common pracuce to use fenceposts made from plastic materials and affix the wire with wire loops or to use hardwood posts, in which case the wire is tied to the post Fenceposts made from steel and wood are used as well but then the wire is in a certain insulator that is screwed to the post. If the electπc fence needs to be shifted, then the wire needs to be loosened from the wire fastening screwed or nailed to the post, with considerable effort and besides there will always be some depreciation of materials. This has to be taken as a considerable handicap since it is quite common to move electric fences.

The object of the invention is to present a method and equipment for erection of electric fences that is convenient whether for mounting an electnc fence or dismounting and is made in such way that no tools are needed, besides there is no πsk of damaging the equipment when mounting or dismounting the fence

This object is achieved by the method being unique in the way that the electπc wire is affixed by restraining it m the intersection of two slots that make two semi -----finite planes under different angles and the equipment being unique in the way that it mainly consists of three differently sized cylinders inside each other with the two outer cylinders having slots that make a semi infinite plane parallel to the electric wire of different angles and the outermost is movable in respect to the other two cylinders and restrains the wire in the slots when it is pulled down onto

the wire This means that the wire is safely affixed to the fencepost but also it can easily be removed with one handgrip without any tools being applied

The equipment according to the invention is unique in respect to that the middle cylinder is fitted with fins in the longitudinal direction on one side so the innermost cylinder touches its inside wall on one side and the fins on the other side This is done to create room for the electπc wire that is fitted into a slot in the middle cylinder on the fin side

Furthermore the middle cylinder has a slot that makes a sloping semi infinite plane and is suitably wide for the electnc wire. The electric wire is fitted into this slot.

The equipment is also unique in the respect that on the outermost cylinder is a slot that makes a vertical semi infinite plane and is suitably wide for the electπc wire. When the wire has been fitted into the slot of the middle cylinder it is fixed there by sliding the outermost cylinder over it so that its slot slides over the wire

The invention is illustrated below in more detail with reference to included drawing, figure 1 , that shows the equipment.

The equipment consists of three cylinders, the innermost cylinder (1) is relatively tightly fitted into the middle cylinder (2) The middle cylinder (2) has fins on the inside on one side, and a sloping slot that makes a semi infinite plane, so the electnc wire (4) can be fitted into it The outermost cylinder (3) has a vertical slot that makes a semi infinite plane, so that when the cylinder is slid over the electric wire, the wire (4) is restrained in the middle (2) and outermost cylinder's (3) slots The cylinders ( 1 ), (2) and (3) are made from plastic matenals

The invention descnbed is not limited to the descnption above but the invention can be implemented in vanous ways For example the cylinders can be of

different shape or matenal, the slots can be of different form or slope The equipment can also be arranged m the way that the innermost cylinder and the middle cylinder are of equal length to the fencepost, one whole piece so that the middle cylender has equal amount of slots It is possible to have one set of cylinders for each wire It is also possible to use the equipment according to the invention for other purposes than to affix electπc wires to fenceposts, such as generally fixing two prisms that meet at different angles and are relatively long in respect to width For example it can be applied to scaffolding, shelf systems, vanous kinds of framework and other similar uses
